Alltech Appoints Coordinator to Alltech-Muhammad Ali Center Global Education and Charitable Fund

[Lexington, KY] – Alltech, a global leader in animal health and nutrition, has strengthened its commitment to the recently established Alltech-Muhammad Ali Center Global Education and Charitable Fund with the appointment of a full-time coordinator, Pamela Sargent.

The Alltech-Muhammad Ali Center Global Education and Charitable Fund was announced by Dr. Pearse Lyons, president and founder of Alltech, with Muhammad and Lonnie Ali at Alltech’s 25th International Animal Health and Nutrition Symposium in May. In an effort to further the educational and charitable goals of both institutions, Alltech and the Muhammad Ali Center will pool their respective resources to produce and promote a number of charitable activities leading up to and coinciding with the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2010™.

“Alltech and the Muhammad Ali Center are a perfect pairing because we share the same core values of education, social responsibility, humanitarian involvement, and the desire to inspire others, whether young or old, to achieve their potential,” said Dr. Pearse Lyons, president and founder of Alltech. “Alltech is honored and very excited to have joined forces with The Greatest, Muhammad Ali and his international Center in Louisville. I am certain that, in working together, our institutions can have a far greater impact around the world.”

Greg Roberts, president and CEO of the Muhammad Ali Center, agreed. “This partnership will expand what both of organizations could do individually. Working in tandem with Alltech to reach our common goals will positively impact young people around the globe. We are happy to have Pam on board to coordinate these efforts.”

Sargent joins the Alltech G.A.M.E.S. department with extensive legal and management experience. Her primary role will be to serve as Alltech’s liaison for the Alltech-Muhammad Ali Center Global Education and Charitable Fund, and she will be charged with the promotion and support of charitable funding to further the educational and humanitarian efforts of both institutions.
