To be eligible, graduate students must be enrolled in the College of Agriculture at Auburn and aspire for a career in animal agriculture. In addition to the monetary award, Novus International will endeavor to offer the recipient a paid intern position based on the needs of Novus International and the research of the student. Pereira received an M.Sc. in Animal Sciences from UC Davis in 2000 and a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul State, Brazil in 1994.

“I would like to thank Novus,” stated Pereira. “I’m from Brazil and as a Brazilian I’ve learned so much about American culture. This kind of scholarship is one reason, in my opinion, why this country is better than any other. Novus has given money to support me, my family and my education. I really don’t have words to express my gratitude and appreciation.”
