149 Entries Parade at All-American Limousin Futurity

The All-American Limousin Futurity (AALF) was July 18 in Sioux Falls, S.D., in conjunction with the National Junior Limousin Show and Congress (NJLSC). The AALF is one of the North American Limousin Foundation’s (NALF’s) four major Medal of Excellence (MOE) shows.

Frank Jackson, Windom, Minn., sorted 19 purebred Limousin bulls, 62 purebred Limousin females, 13 Lim-Flex® bulls and 27 Lim-Flex females. Kelly Bruns, Brookings, S.D., evaluated eight bulls and 20 females in the fullblood Limousin show.

In the purebred Limousin bull show, EXLR Total Impact 054T won the grand champion banner after winning Division 4. Express Ranches, Yukon, Okla., and Deer Valley Farm, Fayetteville, Tenn., own the Feb. 3, 2007, son of LESF Asphalt 9N. The reserve grand champion purebred Limousin bull was CFLX Black Chap, the Division 2 champion. The May 3, 2007, son of KRVN Naskar 013N belongs to Counsil Family Limousin, Madisonville, Texas.

EXLR Luvly 010T, the winner of Division 4, went on to claim the title of grand champion purebred Limousin female. Express Ranches; Summers Limousin, Independence, Mo.; and Tubmill Creek Farms, New Florence, Pa., own the Jan. 18, 2007, daughter of LESF Asphalt 9N. MAGS Teaspoon came from Division 3 to stand as reserve grand champion purebred Limousin female. Magness Land and Cattle, Platteville, Colo., owns the April 16, 2007, daughter of KAJO Responder 120R.

Grand champion honors in the Lim-Flex bull show went to MAGS Scotland, the Division 4 winner and a May 10, 2006, son of BR Midland out of MAGS Marquee. Magness Land and Cattle owns him. Express Ranches and the Glebe Farm, Charles City, Va., own the reserve grand champion Lim-Flex bull. EXLR Southpaw 835S, a March 16, 2006, son of LESF Asphalt 9N out of EXAR Scotch Cap 1548, also came from Division 4.

In the Lim-Flex female show, EXLR Scotch Cap 191S won grand champion for Corinne Harrison, Minier, Ill. The Oct. 2, 2006, daughter of LESF Asphalt 9N out of EXLR Scotch Cap 1005N first won Division 3. Sennett Emblynette 723T claimed reserve grand champion Lim-Flex female for Ellie Sennett, Waynetown, Ind. The Division 2 winner is a Feb. 1, 2007, daughter of S A V 004 Predominant 4438 out of Sennett Heather 448P.

In the fullblood Limousin bull show, CFSV Polled Excel 315S won grand champion after topping Division 4. Stone Valley Limousin, Cashion, Okla., exhibited the April 5, 2006, son of Lenape Polled Liberty. The reserve grand champion fullblood Limousin bull was CWBL Independence, the Division 1 champion. The Jan. 11, 2008, son of Polled Independence 32E belongs to Cody Beach, Bristow, Okla.

CCRA Lady Nora 56S, the winner of Division 4, was the grand champion fullblood Limousin female. Cedar Creek Ranch, Thornfield, Mo., owns the Dec. 29, 2006, daughter of EAFF Rejuvenator 260J. Her herdmate and the Cow-Calf Division champion, CCRA Lady Nova 56N, was reserve grand champion fullblood Limousin female. The Sept. 5, 2003, daughter of OAKM Lord Jupiter 26D showed with a March 18, 2008, daughter of EAFF Polled Hummer 530P at her side.

Express Ranches claimed the Premier Breeder honors. Counsil Family Limousin was the Premier Exhibitor.
